Counts depend on the text field
Regular character counts use Unicode code points, matching the application’s Python length validation. TikTok fields count UTF-16 code units, YouTube descriptions count UTF-8 bytes, and X uses weighted text rules that this browser checker only estimates.
Keep separate fields separate
YouTube Shorts use a separate title and description. TikTok photo posts also have separate title and description limits. Check each field on its own when preparing a post.
